What we do
Typically there are three key elements in our work. We focus on the chemistry, the process and the plant.

What makes us unique is that we are able to separate the definition of the process from scale up and the eventual site of production.

We use specialists with relevant experience and deep knowledge of the technologies involved at each stage. Each team is bespoke, with a skill set tailored to your needs:

  • Experienced project managers oversee the work, ensuring that optimisation and efficiency remain the watchwords for success.

  • Lab chemists define the most cost-efficient synthesis for your product.

  • Process chemists and engineers then develop and scale up the route.

  • We work with plant chemists and production specialists to transfer the process to a suitable plant and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. The plant will normally be located in Asia to draw on the availability of under-utilised capacity without compromising manufacturing standards. We are also able to transfer the process to your preferred supplier if required.

  • The new process goes into production and DCL provides final trouble-shooting services.

Intellectual property rights associated with creating an innovative process are vested in our client.

You keep the process book and intellectual property rights to maintain exclusivity over the new, optimally-efficient process.
